Founded in 2013 as a subsidiary of grid operator Alliander, Alliander Sustainable Area Development’s objective is to construct open grids to transport and distribute renewable and local energy.

Eneco Wind B.V. is part of utility company Eneco and focuses on the production of electricity by wind energy. In the Afrikahaven, Eneco Wind operates a wind farm for generating green electricity. This park is co-owned by the Port of Amsterdam.

Icopower B.V. has its production facility in the Port of Amsterdam. The company manufactures fuel pellets based on Dutch industrial waste.

INB Sustainable Energy is developing a biomass power plant. This facility will supply energy to approximately 30,000 households in the Amsterdam region.

Nuon Power Generation B.V. operates the two power plants Hemweg 8 and Hemweg 9. They are coal-fired and gas-fired, respectively. They have a combined maximum capacity of over 1,000 megawatts of electrical power.

Orgaworld Netherlands B.V. processes organic waste streams.

Varo Energy specializes in the trade and distribution of fuels and the refining of oil products.

Westpoort Warmte B.V. is a joint venture of Nuon Warmte and AEB Amsterdam. Nuon Warmte manages heating networks in various cities, including Amsterdam. AEB is a waste processing company and part of the municipality.

WGH Wind Groep Holland B.V. develops and manages wind turbine parks in the province of Noord-Holland. Since its establishment in 1997, the company has realized wind turbines at various locations.
