Railinfratrust B.V.

Railinfratrust B.V. is the legal owner of the public railway infrastructure in the Netherlands. The organization is responsible for maintenance, operations and expansion of the railway network. These tasks are executed by its subsidiary ProRail, which is the economic owner of the rail network. ProRail also operates rail traffic control services and determines the distribution of rail capacity among carriers, such as the NS.

Railinfratrust is an independent company owned by the State of the Netherlands.
