ProRail B.V.

From its Amsterdam office ProRail B.V. provides traffic and infrastructure control for trains throughout the region. The VLTC (Verkeersleiding Transportbesturingscentrum - Traffic Control Transport Control Center) manages train services and keeps an close eye on maintenance and construction works, defects and disruptions on or next to railway tracks. Since these situations may lead to delays and train failures, proper management is important for all users of the railway network.

ProRail is responsible for the Dutch railway network and stations. The objective of the organization is to make the network safer, more reliable, more punctual and more sustainable. For this, the independent administrative body works closely with various rail transport operators and with the Dutch government.
