Port of Amsterdam
Port of Amsterdam is engaged in developing, operating and managing the Amsterdam port region. It also promotes sustainable economic development in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area in order to maintain a good balance between healthy financial returns, a high quality of life and significant added value for the region.
Port of Amsterdam has three key responsibilities:
-Optimising services and the business development climate for businesses located in the port region;
-Building and maintaining infrastructure, upgrading the port and managing Port of Amsterdam’s Westpoort section;
- Promoting the efficient, safe and environmentally responsible handling of shipping traffic from 40 kilometres off the coast of IJmuiden up to the Oranjesluizen locks. We perform this work on behalf of the Central Nautical Management.
