KVSA has a long history in the area of the North Sea Canal. What started as a shipping agency more than a century ago, has grown into a cooperative that serves the market from two divisions: Maritime & Logistics and Data & Intelligence.

KVSA Maritime & Logistics is the one-stop shop for shipowners and shippers: from agency, transport and customs formalities to stowage and current ship reports. KVSA Data & Intelligence is the facilitator of communication and information provision for the maritime and logistics sector.

From the Felison Terminal (in IJmuiden), one of KVSA's largest customers, DFDS, sails daily to Newcastle. In addition, the nearby Felison Cruise Terminal receives approximately fifty ships a year that the company unloads and loads and to which KVSA provides all other services. KVSA also acts as an agent for shipping companies in the fishing industry, dry bulk, ferry, tanker shipping and offshore wind energy.
