Dienst Verkeer en Openbare Ruimte (Department of Mobility and Public Space) is one of the executive branches of the City of Amsterdam. The organization is owner of the public transit system (except rail) and is responsible for activities in the area of mobility. In addition, it acts as owner of urban properties on behalf of the municipality. These properties include springs, tunnels, bus stations and bicycle parking facilities.
