De Pelikaan

De Pelikaan is a place where maritime makers meet en share inspiration and ideas. The former cargo ship is located in the Houthaven and offers space to small-scale boat builders, product designers, startups and interested young people. They all share interest in shipping and sustainable maritime innovations. There is also a training room and plenty of opportunity to work out, try out and exchange ideas.

De Pelikaan once was a cargo ship, transporting rock materials in the port of Antwerp. The ship is currently being renovated. Special attention is paid to solar energy and a smart room layout for the various users aboard.
