CV Vletterlieden

Coöperatieve Vereniging van Vletterlieden provides assistance with the mooring, idling and unmooring of vessels in and around the seaport of IJmuiden. The team also offers support to vessels that pass through the locks. It provides passenger transport within the port and helps during emergencies, like oil spills. For its services, the organization operates a large number of tender boats, motor boats, winch trucks and service vehicles.

The history of CV Vletterlieden goes back to the 17th century, when various local service boats organized to assist the shipping traffic in the region. The current association was established in 1945.
