College Sutherland
College Sutherland is a private school offering various courses on osteopathy. Osteopathy is a type of practice that treats joint and limp pains by gently pushing and pulling parts of the body. The programs, which can be followed in full-time or part-time, have a Bachelor's and a Master's program. College Sutherland is the only Dutch educational institution for osteopathy.
College Sutherland participates in the Nederlands Academisch College voor Osteopathie (Dutch Academic Board for Osteopathy - NACO). It is a member of the European Federation for Osteopathy, a professional association that strives for Europe-wide recognition of the profession. Osteopaths are not subject to the Dutch BIG Act, as a result of which there is no government or university recognition.
