Amsterdamse Hengelsport Vereniging

The Amsterdam Fishing Association has about 13,000 members. It manages fish stocks in the waters in and around the City of Amsterdam. The club grants fishing permits and organizes fishing competitions almost every week. Every other month the organization publishes a magazine around fishing.

The Amsterdam Fishing Association has a long history. The organization was founded in 1906. It is now affiliated with the national federation Sportvisserij Nederland. This allows members to fish outside their own region.
