Z5 waarde en toelichting
De Z5 waarde is gestegen naar 3763 mg/l. Het debiet Weesp (Q5) is 27-30 m3/s, het Water Inlaat Systeem (WIS) is 55 en het debiet Lobith (Q-Lobith) is 1250 m3/s. 

Verwachting
Deze week wordt er wat regen verwacht. De verwachting is dat de Z5-waarde verder zal stijgen. Doordat het debiet bij Weesp is toegenomen (van 24-26 m3/s naar 27-30 m3/s) en het WIS is gestegen (van 30 naar 55), wordt verwacht dat de Z5 waarde op termijn zal stabiliseren.

Maatregelen
Omdat de Z5 waarde nu >3500 mg/l is, zitten we in de alertheidsfase. Dit betekent dat we doorgaan met geoptimaliseerd schutten, zoals aangekondigd in het verziltingsbeeld van 16 juni, waarbij we een vertraging van circa 2 uur accepteren. Met het invoeren van deze maatregel is het gemiddeld aantal schuttingen (Noordersluis en Zeesluis IJmuiden) gedaald naar 9,4, ten opzichte van 10,3 vorige week.

We gaan per direct het gebruik van de Middensluis intensiveren, door zoveel mogelijk zeeschepen, die door de Middensluis kunnen (max. 180 meter), via deze sluis te schutten. Het overige scheepvaartverkeer wordt geoptimaliseerd geschut door de Noordersluis en/of Zeesluis IJmuiden.

RWS en CNB komen vanaf nu twee keer per week bij elkaar om de situatie te monitoren. Het eerstvolgende verziltingsbeeld ontvang je vrijdag 23 juni. Indien in de tussentijd ontwikkelingen zijn, ontvang je het verziltingsbeeld eerder. De ORAM calls worden opgestart als we anticiperend gaan schutten. Dat is nu nog niet het geval.

Stremming Noordersluis
Op 20 juni is er van 07:00 tot 21:00 uur een geplande stremming van de Noordersluis, vanwege noodzakelijk onderhoud. Het scheepvaart wordt die dag door de Middensluis en Zeesluis IJmuiden geschut.

This is the salinisation overview for 19 June 2023.

Z5 value and clarification
The Z5 value has risen to 3763 mg/l. The discharge Weesp (Q5) is 27-30 m3/s, the Water Inlet System (WIS) is 55 and the discharge Lobith (Q-Lobith) is 1250 m3/s.  

Expectation
Some rainfall is expected this week. The prognosis is that the Z5 value will rise further. Because the discharge at Weesp has increased (from 24-26 m3/s to 27-30 m3/s) and the WIS has risen (from 30 to 55), the expectation is that the Z5 value will stabilize at a later stage. 

Measures
We are in the Alertness fase, as the Z5 value is now greater than 3500 mg/l. This means we will continue optimized lock passages, where we accept a delay of approximately two hours. This is the same measure we communicated in the salinisation overview that was shared on June 16. By implementing this measure, the average amount of lock passages (Northern Lock and Sea Lock IJmuiden) has decreased to 9.4 as compared to 10.3 last week.

Starting today, we will intensify the usage of the Middle Lock by letting as many sea ships, ones that can go through the Middle Lock (max. 180 meters), pass through the lock as possible. For the remaining shipping traffic, we will continue with optimized lock passages through Sea Lock IJmuiden.

RWS and the CNB will come together twice a week to monitor the situation. The next salinisation overview will be sent out on Friday June 23. If there are developments in the meantime, you will receive the salinisation overview earlier. ORAM's calls will start when we start anticipatory less lock passages. As of right now, that is not the case. 

Stagnation Northern Lock

On June 20, there is a planned stagnation of the Northern Lock from 07:00 until 21:00, due to necessary maintenance. During that day, shipping traffic will pass through the Middle Lock or Sea Lock IJmuiden.
